A breathtaking view needs to be inhaled – and that can’t be done from behind closed doors. This much-loved bach on the shores of Lake Tarawera was stripped right back to its frame, providing the perfect template for a new, modernised interior that would bring the outdoors in. There is no ‘roughing it’ here.
